About Us

Obeng Darko is an African education organisation dedicated to building financially independent, entrepreneurial, and self-reliant Africans through practical, life-changing education. Our focus is on equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to create wealth, build sustainable businesses, and contribute meaningfully to the economic transformation of Africa. We teach African consciousness, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal development, sales, systems thinking, critical thinking, wealth creation, and the practical industries that drive economic prosperity, including agriculture, trading, real estate, construction, engineering, processing, manufacturing, and the digital economy. We deliver this education through multiple platforms, including books, physical seminars, online seminars, television, radio, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, podcasts, and other digital media. In Ghana, we primarily teach in Twi to reach the millions of people who can most benefit from financial and entrepreneurial education in their own language. We believe that people learn, understand, and apply knowledge more effectively when it is communicated within their own language and cultural context. Our English-language content is designed to serve the wider African continent and the global African family. We believe that Africa's greatest freedom will not come merely through politics or natural resources, but through knowledge that empowers people to think independently, build businesses, create wealth, solve problems, and develop their communities. To transform African lives through our books, seminars, online education, television, radio, and digital media by teaching financial literacy, entrepreneurship, wealth creation, leadership, and practical business skills that enable individuals to create opportunities, build successful enterprises, strengthen families, and contribute to the development of Africa.

Kwabena Obeng Darko

Kwabena Obeng Darko is an African entrepreneur, engineer, speaker and an author. His books include Perspective – how to develop the mindset to start and build your business, Streamline – how to teach yourself money and other books. He loves to share knowledge on African history and dignity, entrepreneurship, financial education, personal development, sales, systems, customer service, real estate and related topics on his YouTube channel, OBENG DARKO.

Kwabena went to Opoku Ware School. He holds a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from KNUST and an MSc in Bioprocess Engineering from UCD. His business interests include engineering, construction, fashion accessories, and real estate. He lives in Accra with his wife, Marie, and children, Yaa, Awuraa, and Kwabena.

Marie A. Obeng Darko

Marie A. Obeng Darko is an entrepreneur and Managing Director of MV Fashion Accessories, a multiple fashion retail brand operating across malls in Ghana. She is a fashion accessories designer and producer, as well as a Real Estate Investor and Developer.

Marie worked with Barclays Bank (now ABSA) for about three years before starting MV with her husband.

She attended St. Rose's Senior High School and went on to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she pursued a BSc in Mathematics. She holds an MBA from Swiss Business School (SBS). Marie is married to Kwabena and together they have three children.
